Private airport welcome, an easy transfer and time to settle. The first evening is deliberately unstructured so the journey begins without pressure.
Day 2
Thyolo tea country
Travel into green tea country for an estate introduction, a hosted tasting or garden walk, and a relaxed lunch. The emphasis is atmosphere rather than a factory-style visit.
Two nights in Majete with time for a complete wildlife rhythm.
Day 3
Majete
A morning departure for Majete, arriving with time to settle before an afternoon wildlife activity when conditions allow.
Day 4
Majete
Morning and afternoon wildlife activities with a long pause through the heat of the day. Conservation context can be added when a suitable local host is available.
A longer road north-east, one full water day and a considered return.
Day 5
Southern Lake Malawi
The journey's longest road day leads north-east towards the lake. Arrival is kept simple: settle in, take in the water and watch the light change.
Day 6
Southern Lake Malawi
Choose a boat journey, snorkelling or kayaking, with time to swim and rest. A fishing-community or lakeside-hosted visit is included only where it is welcome, respectful and locally led.
Day 7
Blantyre
Return towards Blantyre with departure assistance. Where flight timing would make the day rushed, an additional buffer night is recommended rather than forcing the connection.
